Well we are now as much as 2 weeks away from having a baby.
The doctor said he would schedule Jessica's induction today if she hadn't had by now, but it was not to be. He said she isn't ready. So pray for nature labor!
No really, get down on your knees. You owe me this one! :)

Dude, that stinks. No pregnant woman should even be given a date for delivery and then have it reniged on.
On the other hand, healthy baby, good delivery, yada, yada, yada. But I'm sure that's the last things anyone wants to hear when waiting for baby to come out!

What an awful situation. I am as anxious as both of you i think. Before I get down on my knees ask for help, there are a couple of things i need to say... Casteroil, Evening Primrose Oil, and what the heck how bout some great Olive Oil.
Now lets get Ella here so we can play!!
Yeah....not to be the bummer, but as one who's baby was late as well, I have to say--no type of oil will actually make the baby come unless your body is ready to have a baby anyway. The castor oil thing works great if you're ready to go into labor anyway (just like walking, spicy food, and everything else people will tell you to try), but if not it just means several hours in the bathroom. Yuck!
There's an L&D nurse in our ward--she says if you must try it, make scrambled eggs with 2 Tbsp castor oil. At least then you have some food in you when the nastiness happens. She seconds my opinion on it's uselessness, BTW, she just says that how it should be done if you must try. Good luck hanging in there!
Amy, try to tell that to your mother! She told me that she took it and out you came. Of course she didn't have to with the rest of us.
Also, Jessica's grandmother did it with all 4 kids, and her other g-ma did it with one... all of them had success.
Longs story short, it's worth a shot at this point!!! :)
Yeah, out I came like 72 hours later....and all black and blue.
Do what you gotta do--I'm just saying I did everything in the book including castor oil and having my membranes stripped twice and I maintain that all the "tricks" only work if you were ready to go into labor anyway.
She'll make it out eventually--all pregnancies end! Good luck!
