"Kite" and the Beach

It has been really warm lately so we decided to take Ella to the beach. She had a ball. Turns out she has no fear for the ocean and would take off running without us behind her to play and splash in the water. Then she would sit down when the water came up to her. Could be a good and bad thing. =) As for the kite flying, we can thank her Nana. She was here for spring break and took Ella to fly a kite. She LOVED it. She asks us every day to go fly a kite with her. The problem is that there is not always wind to fly a kite so we have a few melt downs now and then over it. Thank you Nana! =)

Allan and Heather's visit

My brother Allan and his family came down for a visit last week. Ella was excited to see them. She loved playing with Ethan and kissing Malakai. She also loved that she could get her Uncle Ownie and Aunt Heather to do whatever she needed at the time. =) She is very sad they are gone. Until next time....

Potty Time!

Ella has been very interested in the potty lately. She has been telling us "poop" before she goes for a long while now. We decided to let her give it a try. She went poop in the potty last night! We know it will take a little while to get her totally potty trained, but for now we are happy with the one part. She has been excited about it since she went. She takes me in the bathroom just to point at the potty and tell me that she "poop in potty". It's very cute. =) Yay for Ella, what a big girl she is becoming!

Phantom of the Opera

So Brady went skiing at Mt. Baldy this morning and this is how he came home. He says that he hit a ton of ice and his ski popped off. Then the other ski broke when he tried to catch his balance. So he went flying forward and his helmet and goggles got pulled off. He hit the ground with his face. Fortunately this is all that happened. No broken bones at least. He lost his contact in the top of his eye and has to go to the eye doctor to get it out. Other than all that, he is fine. Looks pretty bad though.

Back to the ER

Well, we went back to the ER last night. At least this time they took me right in. I didn't have my usual 5 hour wait. Turns out when you have things next to your heart they don't mess around. I am going on TPN (food) starting this evening and they had to come and draw labs for the special make up of my formula. The nurse came and couldn't get anything out on Saturday. About 3 hours after that I started having a heart flutter and shortness of breath every once in a while. When another nurse came on Sunday I told her about this and she called my doctor. They sent me straight to the ER. I had an EKG and some chest x-ray done as well as labs. The interesting thing is that they can't take them straight from the picc line so I had another IV put in my other arm. I looked awesome. The results were good. They said my picc line is laying in the right place and they weren't worried just that I had a fast heart rate. I always do so that didn't worry me. We were out of there within 3 hours, record time for us. Now, they are working on making my formula up so that I can get started on TPN today hopefully. All we have to say is that when the nurses and doctors in the ER recognize you, you are there too much. =)
