Christmas and Bowling...
We had our Christmas exchange while in Idaho since we won't be seeing each other around Christmas this year. We had a blast watching the kids open presents. Patrick was especially entertaining this year. Here are a few pictures of the event.
Patrick thought he would take a little nap in the doll crib!
Ella's first present to open...
Emily sure likes paper...even better than the present at times. =)
Ella had her first bowling trip this past weekend. We went cosmic bowling! She seemed to have a blast...from what I could tell anyway.

Happy Thanksgiving!
Ella rolled over for the first time...only I missed it. I put her to bed on the far side of the bed and woke up to her pushing me off the bed. I got up and noticed she was on her tummy...only I put her to bed on her back. Apparently some time during the night she rolled over.
Sorry for the bad picture. I had to sneak the camera to catch her smile. Isn't she cute? =)
This picture is from Tuesday. Brady dressed her in her lucky snow shirt to help him get snow for skiing. Apparently it worked...
That would be Tanner...stuck in the snow I heard.

Thanksgiving Trip
Ella's first airplane ride!!

We stayed with our friends for a couple days when we got to SLC. Ella loved Masha and Ty. She smiled really big when Masha picked her up the first time.
Ella's first road trip. We drove from SLC to Bear Lake and she slept the whole way (with the exception of eating once of course).
And more sleeping once we arrived...

This is one of the cutest pictures ever!!
The family got a Wii for Christmas...lets just say that we all have Wii related injuries. =)
That's it for now. I will post more in a few days. Hopefully we can actually get a picture of Ella smiling. She won't smile once the camera comes out at this point.

The hills of Los Angeles are burning.
We got to take a trip to Jessica's parents house last night at 4 am. A forest/brush fire started yesterday about 2 miles from our house and is threatening to burn everything in it's path. There was no concern about the fire reaching us since it would have to burn through 2 miles of city before hand.
However, Ella seemed to be very irritable and as the smoke got worse she started wheezing. Since our eyes and lungs started burning, we could only imagine how she felt. So I called a nurse for Blue Sheild who had me call poison control. They told me that we were too close to the fire to have a 3 week old baby and to get out of there.
So we packed up and left for Upland. We are breathing better now, and Ella is much happier.
We are afraid that little Ella may have inherited asthma . I guess we will see.

3 weeks old
Ella is now a little over three weeks old. I can't believe how much bigger she has gotten. Here are some photos from the weekend.
This is how I catch her sleeping at night, all stretched out. Just looks funny for a newborn...
Ella took her first trip to church. She really seemed to like the experience, and she looked so cute in her dress.
And finally...this is for Grandma Karen and Grandpa Eddie mostly. Who says you can't play with a newborn? My sister Cassidy and I had a blast on Saturday. =)
