So here's what we've been up to since we've been back.
Planting flowers and herbs since it is FINALLY not freezing at night anymore!
Hope we don't kill these. =)
Baking brownies and things.
Going to the park on sunny days!
Ella is now big enough to do these by herself so she is pretty excited about that! She is fully potty trained now, nights included! The day part she has had down for months now but she was still wearing pull-ups at night. It's been about 3 weeks now that she has been wearing panties to bed! Her dad told her that since he saves money on pull-ups she can now go to dance class. =) I am looking into that for her now. Hopefully she will start soon! Funny story about Ella. She climbed up on my lap the other day and said to me, "Mommy, I wish I could have a sister! ---Actually, I wish I could have a sister and another brother!" Oh, my! I don't know where she got this! The comment worries me a little. We don't know if we are even having anymore kids, besides the fact that Carter is only 8 months old! She is quite the little character these days!
Carter is now 8 1/2 months old and had a check up today. He is a whopping 21 lbs! He is in the 50% for height and 60% for weight so apparently not as huge as I thought he was, but growing well I guess you could say! He has been officially crawling for about 2 weeks now. No more slow scooting for him. He is into EVERYTHING and of course sticking it all in his mouth. Above is a picture of Ella's snack (cottage cheese) that she was having on the floor in the kitchen area (to see the TV of course). She need to use the bathroom and bam, Carter had it everywhere. This was my first reminder that crawling will come with a lot of messes until I get back into the habit of keeping everything off the floor. He can finally torment Ella back a little since she is all over him each day. It is pretty awesome actually. This week he now pulls up onto furniture so he of course spilled a drink sitting on the coffee table. Guess I can't put stuff on there anymore either. We now find him standing at the edge of the crib to greet us each morning. He also loves to walk if you hold his hands, so it most likely won't be long until he's ready to take off alone. He has completely given up on baby food, so it's only table food for him now. Just as it was for Ella it is pretty difficult since he still has no teeth. He is still working on that first one. He sleeps TERRIBLE at night still, we are working on that now. He is such a happy boy, even doing better in the car these days! I can't believe how big he is getting. Seems like he was born yesterday. They sure grow up fast! I love these two kiddos!

I can't believe how big they are getting! Isn't it amazing how fast the baby stage passes? I think I am going to steal your idea of planting plants with the kiddos... so cute!
