Easter 2012

This one should be a bit long. I apologize in advance. :) We started the Easter festivities with some fun rice krispie eggs with M&M's inside. They were a hit!

Then we moved on to dye some Easter eggs. Carter was a HUGE fan!
Brighton may have liked the rice krispies more. :)
 My cute nephew Braxton!

I'm not kidding. He held out the longest. Pretty sure he ended up doing a dozen after the other kids lost interest.
Ella made a golden egg this year. She was VERY proud of it. She is thinking she will start a tradition and make one every year! Haha.
After Gracie's blessing we had an Easter egg hunt with all the cousins. With both sides (Levi's as well) there were a lot of eggs to be hunted! The kids had a blast! The cousins were all very excited to see Chad and Amy and their kids finally!

After the hunt, Nana gave the kids some Easter surprises. The girls got wings and spent some time flying about.

Carter spent some time chasing the girls. He was in heaven.
Now we move on to Easter morning. In an effort to get Brady closer to our next stop in Palo Alto, we took off Saturday evening and drove part way. The kids thought it was cool that the Easter bunny hid eggs in our hotel room!

Hope you all had a good Easter! Ours was spent on the road. At least the Easter bunny found us!

Cousin Time

So...I decided to put a post of other pics with cousins before Easter. My kids love cousin time. They had a blast playing outside and are sad to be back home without them. Here's a few snapshots from the week. First up, Ella on the mickey mobile. Nana has a red golf cart that was named the Mickey mobile. She couldn't wait to ride in it when we got there! Man was she a white Oregon kid when we got there! :)

One of our main reasons for going was to go to my nieces baby blessing. We all spent some good time snuggling this sweet girl. Okay, maybe I spent a little more than some. She was very sweet. Here's Ella taking a turn.
Carter loves his cousin Patrick. They had some much needed male bonding time mid-week on some Ipads. :)

These two are trouble. Brighton and Carter spent much of the week digging in the dirt together. Fun times.

I thought this was super cute. These two also had a ton of fun together!

Here's Carter trying to ride a toy horse. This was directly after we got done riding the real horses. Apparently he wasn't done. It was hilarious!
These kids also spent a good amount of time on the trampoline.

More cuteness from the twin boys. :)

This girl loves babies. She spent a lot of time holding this baby that week. And look, some sun on her cheeks!

Country vs. City

To spear you from a REALLY long post I am going to break up our trip to Nana and Grandpa's house. This post is of all the things the kids did out on the ranch. Grandpa, Grandpa Jensen, and Uncle Micah were so kind to take the kids to do all kinds of fun things. The highlight was definitely feeding cows. The following was the day after we arrived when Grandpa took them to see the cows. We found a calf that had been born in the last couple hours. The kids thought that was awesome!

The fresh calf. There were quite a few born the week we were there.

Carter is a BIG fan of anyone who had Grandpa in their name. He just loved having two of them around for the week!

This girl is in her element when she rides a horse. She LOVES it. Need to get her riding lessons someday.

This picture is right before the horse nearly rid of Brady and Carter. Surprisingly Carter wanted to get right back on. Guess it didn't scare him!

Then they got to feed the horses!

And the highlight of the trip, getting to feed the baby calves!

The following two are stolen pictures. I just love them though! They sure do love their Grandpa Jensen!

Isn't this the best picture ever? Nice work Amy!

These kids love the country. They were NOT happy when we headed to the city part of our vacation. But before that, up next is Easter!

And we are back...

We have been MIA for a while now. We took a 3 week trip and got back last weekend. We had a ton of fun and are happy to be back to normal (some of us). More on that later.

Now lets talk about my big boy. We decided to take the plunge and tackle the last of his babyhood before we left. He still had his binki at night so decided to take him to the store and he picked a toy to buy with it. He chose a spiderman action figure. There was no talking him out of it. He happily handed it over! Then for a few nights he kept asking me to take him back to the store and buy it back. It was sad! After that though he has been fine. He asks for it now and again but is okay with not having it. Here's my big boy! Every form of baby is now out of this kid. Sad day for me.

Have to add a picture of this girl. She loves to take car of the dog. She was cradling her to sleep one night. :)

Get ready, more posts to come!

Fun with friends.

I am not sure why I never posted this! Back in November we had a play date with Jagger (one of Ella's best friends). These kids love to play dress up! Don't you just love Jagger's "super man" face. :)
